On behalf of our active members, we wish to THANK YOU for visiting and showing your support of our officers. Bethlehem Star Lodge #20 is there to represent the members of law enforcement in the City of Bethlehem.
As we climb out of the “defund the police” movement, we are experiencing the real results we have warned about. We have seen a historic rise in crimes against people and property in our most vulnerable neighborhoods. Today, the defund movement is largely quiet. Still, the most privileged and protected class in society supports dismantling of our police departments while they attempt to defend the degradation of our communities.
Bethlehem Police and police departments across the state are now receiving more funding towards recruiting and training new police officers. There is still more work to be done as our members continue to provide more services to more people....... with fewer resources.
Bethlehem Star Lodge #20 is responsible for protecting our members' rights and supporting our members in every way possible. Our goal is to improve the working conditions of our officers and ensure the safety of the officers that serve our community. Being a Member of the Associate Lodge provides Bethlehem Star Lodge #20 with the most dedicated public support of our members.
Associate Lodge Membership Benefits: An Associate Membership in the Fraternal Order of Police gives you the opportunity to show your support of law enforcement officers in our community. Associate Lodge members receive annual window decals and a personalized membership card. Associate Lodge members will receive correspondence from Bethlehem Star Lodge 20 to inform members of pertinent issues facing our membership.
The Bethlehem Star Lodge #20 has two levels of members of the Associate Lodge and is accepting members.
Class I. Individuals wishing to be members of the Associate Lodge who are eligible to participate in the Legal Defense Plan (https://www.foplegal.com/) established and maintained by the Grand Lodge at the plan level of their choosing. Applicants are required to be employed as a College or University Police Officers within the City of Bethlehem. Individuals outside the Bethlehem Star Lodge #20 should contact the lodge for eligibility.
Application Process: Applicants must have an active Bethlehem Star Lodge #20 member endorse their application. The application fee is $100 and must be paid with the application at https://www.unionly.io/o/lodge20/member-of-the-associate-lodge. Monthly dues of $20, plus the Legal Defense Plan of the members' choice are broken down for 6 months or yearly to be paid upon acceptance.(online or check).

Class II. Individuals wishing to be members of the Associate Lodge who are not eligible for the Legal Defense Plan. This includes but is not limited to civilian family and friends of Police officers as well as citizens of high moral standing that support law enforcement in their communities.
Application Process: Interested individuals should complete the Membership Application by filling out the on-line form and clicking "submit". If an applicant is accepted, the fee of $25 will cover the dues for the first year. The annual renewal fee is $20 for members. Please note that a background check is required for all applicants and will be conducted by the Lodge Executive Board as part of the application process. All applications will be reviewed by the Executive Board and applicants will be notified if they are approved.
